Natura 2000 is responsibility of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning. However, the measures of the Natura 2000 implementation is also interrelated with many stakeholders, such as:
- Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning;
- Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy MAFWE;
- Ministry of Transport and Communication;
- Ministry of Economy;
- Ministry of Culture;
- National Park (Mavrovo, Pelister and Galicica National Park);
- State Enterprise for Management and Protection of the Multi-functional Protected Area JASEN
- Associations of the Units of Local Self-Government of RM – ZELS;
- Municipalities (some are protected area’s managers already)
- City of Skopje;
- Public Enterprise for State Roads;
- Public Enterprise Macedonian Forests;
- Public Enterprise for Management with Pastures;
- Hydro-biological Institute, Ohrid;
- Macedonian Museum of Natural History;
- National committee for UNESCO Macedonia;
- Spatial Planning Agency;
- National Extension Agency;
- Universities and Faculties;
- Environmental Civil Society Organizations;
- Landowners;
- Business Sector;
- Infrastructure sector (ELEM, MEPSO, EVN)
- Tourism Sector;
- Infrastructure sector;
Important to note is the fact that the general public should also be involved in the implementation of Natura 2000. Weather through the civil society or directly, everybody that wants to take part, should feel free to do so.
