Opening event of the EU-funded project “Improving capacities for Natura 2000 and CITES”
We continue to protect nature, identify new NATURA 2000 areas and prevent trade in endangered species of flora and fauna
The Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Naser Nuredini, together with Ambassador David Geer, the director of Mali Sharr National Park, Ibrahim Dehari and the head of the project team Daniel Bogner, participated in the event on the occasion of the official launch of the project financed by the Union. European “Improving capacities for Natura 2000 and CITES”.
– So far we have identified 12 possible Natura 2000 areas, while the new IPA project enables us to continue with the identification and definition of other areas, so that in the field of nature protection we realize national interests, but also prepare for entry into the EU – Nuredini said.
