The real meaning of a Twinning Projects is a joint field research and joint preparation of the methodology for biodiversity monitoring at national level and preparation of the National Biodiversity Monitoring Program (component 3 of the project). One of the rangers from NP Pelister, Mr. Goce Cuculoski, actively participated in the field work and demonstrated willingness to continue the research and monitoring of butterfly species in the Park, following the recommendation of the Directive Annexes, Natura 2000 and the IUCN Red List.
Since then, his collection of butterflies made in the period spring-summer 2018 has grown impressively. With the support of experts from Finland, Lithuania, the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and colleagues of the National Park Pelister, his research will continue in the future with the aim to determine the richness of our nature.
