Study trip to EU countries
Study trip to Croatia, Slovenia and Austria from 25-30.09.2023 project supported by the European Union, “Improving Capacities for Natura 2000 and CITES”
The delegation consisted of the Head of the Nature Department and the director of Environmental Administration in the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, representatives of the nature sector in the MOEPP, representatives from the National Parks of Mount Sharr, Galicica and Pelister, representatives from the National Forests, the Ministry of Agriculture and experts engaged in project.
On this agenda, the Ministry of Environment and Development in Zagreb, the Risnjak National Park in Croatia, the Institute for Nature Protection in the Republic of Slovenia, the leaders of the Carinthia region in Klagenfurt, and the Dobrach Nature Park in Austria were visited. The purpose of the study trip is to exchange information with the authorities (ministries and management bodies of Natura 2000 areas) on topics related to Natura 2000 such as management models of protected areas in different countries, socio-economic benefits, conflicts, inclusion of interested parties etc.
In the framework of the project “Improving Capacities for Natura 2000 and CITES”, this program is also implemented, which aims to increase the institutional capacities of our country, with which a 5-day study trip was organized in 3 EU countries.
